[world] cynical killings continue despite ceasefire
Look at this news snippet and say where it is from:
… the Air Force had deliberately targeted schoolchildren as they were taking a first aid course in the worst single loss of civilian life since fighting flared three weeks ago. The military dismissed the claim, saying jets had bombed a rebel training camp and killed 50-60 fighters. The military posted a photograph on its Web site which it said depicted schoolgirls taking weapons training. Truce monitors said they had seen the bodies of males and females, aged 17-20 and said the site did not appear to be a rebel training camp…
Israel? Lebanon? No, this one is the Tamil Tiger conflict, reported today. A cursory glance around the news brought these up:
- a series of blasts killed at least 57 residents of Zaafaraniya in Iraq
- a gas pipeline was blown up in southwestern Pakistan in the latest attack in the troubled Baluchistan province where rebels are fighting for greater autonomy.
- Sri Lanka's Tamil Tigers killed seven people in an attack on a Pakistan embassy convoy
- heavy fighting in Somalia between Islamists and local warlords
All right, there are always local conflicts and the media is playing them up for good story copy. Maybe, maybe, but look at this about the Iraqi blast:
… the scale of the destruction spoke of a far bigger attack, perhaps involving large artillery shells or air strikes ...
.. while large crowds are often bombed, a wave of attacks on buildings is unusual …
Some basic questions: Which forces use Katyushas? Where did they buy them from? If you say Iran, you’re not looking far enough.
Meanwhile, Paul Sheahan reports, from Sydney:
The open contempt some Muslims have for non-Muslims is a common thread throughout the world where Muslims communities rub against the kafirs, or non-believers.
This is especially so in Britain, where Western liberalism, freedom and the rule of law have been used as tools to help make it an operational centre of global jihad. A report by British intelligence estimates a quarter of the 1.6 million Muslims living in Britain support jihad at least somewhere in the world.
It is a place where fanatical intolerance hides in plain sight. On February 3, between 500 and 700 men marched from the Regent's Park mosque to the Danish embassy in Knightsbridge to protest against the publication of cartoons deemed insulting to Islam. Demonstrators carried posters stating "Exterminate those who slander Islam", "Be prepared for the REAL holocaust."
The west has indeed been shaken up and the highly coordinated nature of the riots, protests, attacks, bombs and the like require careful scrutiny. This is military attack, pure and simple, using military strategic terror and as anyone who is familiar with the military knows – there are military objectives.
One is the containment and eradication of insurgency but who decides who is an insurgent? This is the big one. Because there sure as hell is a grab bag of political enemies who fall into that category – not least Christians and pesky intellectuals. Remember Daniel Ellsberg?
Speaking of Ellsberg’s persecutor and main detractor [see the story on the former on this site], interesting that hours after he flew out of Sudan, all hell broke loose. Interesting that the moment this envoy flew out of Cambodia, genocide ensued. Interesting that wherever the man went, devastation followed.
This ain’t conspiracy, folks – this is as plain as the nose on your face. Just look at the events, look at who of note was present either at the time or immediately prior and the picture becomes clear. Look where at whom the ongoing violence benefits.
Now to the everyday youth who are involved. Youth do not get into things in a coordinated way unless someone older and in a position of influence is coordinating them or at least indicated that they won’t be punished.
Everyone and his dog has a theory. It’s Iran, it’s the Arabs, it’s the US. People - I’ve talked and talked and written and written about the 4th player until I’m blue in the face but when are people going to start to take the 4th player seriously?
This-thing-is-coordinated-and-financed.
It is cynical, it is calculated, it is bereft of the normal human decencies. It is militaristic. It can call on almost limitless resources. The fruits of the unrest are restrictions on the free movement of people and their partial depopulation. The internet is next. The ID cards are all part of it.
It is happening.
Middle-East ceasefire? Ha. And just before I finish, spare a thought for the 17 million Chinese who are currently in the grip of a severe drought and have no water. So what happened to the Three Gorges Dam which recently opened for business? This is the 3rd player at work.
